The Dragons officially started their journey in the UK Wheelchair Basketball (UKWB) Development League, making the trip down to England to take on new competition at the Hoops Basketball Centre in Barrow-in-Furness.

Preparation for this milestone included extra work behind the scenes, with players put through early morning training sessions guided by club legend Ben Leitch. Having started his own wheelchair basketball career with the Dragons before moving on to play professionally abroad, Ben returned to share his experience with the squad ahead of their league debut.

The opening fixtures presented a tough challenge on the court, but the team put in a determined performance across both games:
* Game 1: Dundee Dragons 20 – 34 The Bulls
* Game 2: Dundee Dragons 4 – 38 Rhyl Raptors

While the results didn’t go the Dragons’ way, the day was defined by steady progress and a strong team effort. Facing new opponents provided invaluable match experience, with the squad growing in confidence and adapting their play as the games progressed.
