Our last entry before our summer break and it finds our Dragons enjoying some absolutely fantastic Adaptive Cycling weather. Some of our highlights were celebrating the 250th birthday of the United States with a fun western style Dragon hunt for Drago the bread slayer. Reportedly hiding around Dawson Park. Everyone that spotted him were welcomed at our cowboy camp and rewarded with some Marshmallows and cowboy beans (M&Ms really). As this great weather continued our Dragon Riders were treated to Corolla’s ice cream cones at the Glass Pavillion, the perfect way to end a great ride out along the NCN 1 and back.
Then our final event before our summer break on Sunday 19th July we welcomed Dragons known and new to the Regional Performance Centre and the “Mark Stewart” Velodrome for our Showcase event. . . “Festival of Limitless Cycling”. We welcomed our regular riders as well as some new faces/friends. We were also joined by Victoria Leiper from Scottish Cycling who is the TDF2027 Social Impact Programme lead. We were also joined by Darren Thomson from Active Dundee who was able to add to our available fleet of bikes with some from Active Dundee’s fleet. It was a brilliant day with individuals setting themselves a challenge and going on to beat it. It would be amiss if me to not thank everyone who came along, and everyone who supported on the day. You all played your part in making this the successful event it was. With that we sign off for the summer and we return on Tuesday 11th August, down at the Dundee Waterfront.
