Midway through June and we pick up at the Dundee Get Together, and event to celebrate community organisations in the city. Members of Dundee Dragons from Multisport and the Adaptive Cycling took part in the parade from Dundee High School to the City Square. By all reports it was a lot of fun being involved in such a colourful and musical parade.

Normal service resumed on Tuesday and Thursday, with a special event squeezed in between. On Wednesday we welcomed photographers on behalf of Cycling UK.

Cycling UK, one of our earlier benefactors came visiting our Club Adaptive Cyclists down at the Dundee Waterfront. Both photographers from a company called Moreover have been tasked with creating a portfolio of cycling images for Cycling UK. These images to be used by Cycling UK to illustrate future reports and publications.

It was an exciting day down at the waterfront with our Tandem Twinny trike being used Tour de France like to capture images of our “Peleton” along the Waterfront.

Bringing the month of June to a close we were proud to represent the club at the official opening of the Bell St Hub indoor Skills Track. This is a fantastic facility that we hope to be able to make use of when/if our Tuesday sessions at the waterfront are cancelled due to the weather. I was joined by Ride Leader Alex T and Dragon Rider Elaine Swadel. Admittedly it was very busy and very noisy when we arrived, but once it all calmed down, we were able to take ourselves and our Adaptive bikes out onto the track.Elaine tentatively enjoyed the experience of being out on the track and mixing it with the young and old riders riding the other trails.

The Dundee Cycle Hub plan to develop disability friendly sessions at the indoor Skills Track, hopefully we will be in a position to store some bikes at the hub for this purpose.
